The Nelson County Garden Club works together with the Nelson County Historical Society in a fundraising tour of historic structures in the county such as homes, schools and churches. One of the most important missions of the event is to preserve historical sites. The tour is held every two years.
In the spring of 2013, the tour featured Woodson’s Mill, The Rock House (Rose Mill Road), Oakland Museum, Trinity Church, the Old Arrington School, and Inglewood Lavender Farm.
The following photographs are of some of the buildings in the 2013 tour along with examples of the numerous beautiful flower arrangements created by the Garden Club.
